The Notes (Instructions for Reviewers)

General

This is my main collective site containing a lot of stuff, like my software, QB stuff, site reviews ;-), and Anti-Pokemon things. If you hate Pokemon, this could be the site for you! If you like Pokemon, there's still stuff for you. If you're a reviewer, look at all my pages. And add my site to your links if you wish with a text link and/or banner or button (if you want, they're in the software section, under Pics and Banners.)

What I used to make this

For the HTML and CSS coding, I used a highly customizable toolbar HTML editor (the kind above text editors, but below WYSIWYG ones) called Arachnophilia 4.0. You can get it at www.arachnoid.com. The images I made were edited with the Windows Paint applet and IrfanView, a great image viewer/converter/editor. It may not be full of stuff, but it's a lot better than paying $100 for the PSP most Big Two Girlie Server sites use ;-).

"Requirements"

I practice good Web design skills by utilizing HTML for the structure and CSS for the layout. Because of that, having a CSS1-compliant browser is a nice thing for viewing this site, but not required. (Note no browser requirement ;-) Since this site is mostly text, it should look good in about any resolution. And any graphics I use have alternate text specified. All in all, I did a nice job of trying not to exclude visitors. ;-)

Pop-up and Frame Policy

If I ever use pop-ups or frames, I will usually Do The Right Thing and have something set up for more primitive browsers so they can still use and enjoy my site without "Alert! Unsupported URL scheme!" errors. (Drop-down menus are CGI menus, not JavaScript ones, and therefore will work in any browser that supports forms. Tripod is great.)

Copyright (and Copyleft)

The software on this page is copylefted by me. That means you can redistribute, reverse-engineer, or modify it, but you cannot put more restrictions on modified versions. This way I avoid the pitfalls of proprietary software and give everyone the freedom they deserve with my stuff. The graphics in the Pics and Banners section are in the public domain. Use them, modify them, distribute them, whatever. They belong to everyone. My Anti-Pokemon pics (and any pics not in the pics section) can be used in your site as long as you link to my site. If you see someone using my AP pics without a link to my site, e-mail me at bigone@btc-bci.com so I can send a polite e-mail to them. I have not done the dishonest act of disabling your right mouse button, so view my source if you want. You can copy my writings if you include the following notice on their pages: "©2000 by Diablo - screwpikachu.cjb.net - Reproduction in any form permitted as long as this notice is intact." Just don't plagiarize, and you'll be okay.
